IR Clinic
:: Welcome to the UCSD IR Clinic
The University of California, San Diego Interventional Radiology Division offers the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases using minimally invasive techniques. The IR division has an active outpatient clinic and consulting service as well as an inpatient admitting service.

The procedures that we offer are:
· angioplasty and stenting for peripheral vascular disease
· uterine artery embolization
· cancer therapies including arterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency (RF) ablation for the treatment of liver cancer
· transcatheter radioisotope and gene therapy for liver cancer
· transjugular intrahepatic shunts for bleeding and acites
· stent-grafts for aortic aneurysms
· carotid angioplasty and stents
· abscess management
· hepatobiliary interventions
· gastrointestinal and genitourinary interventions
· new treatments for varicose veins including endovenous laser
· dialysis graft interventions
· vascular access for dialysis, chemotherapy and antibiotics
· venous interventions for pelvic congestion syndrome, superior vena cava syndrome and pulmonary vascular malformations
· IVC filters including retrievable filters

Our facilities include state-of-the-art digital interventional suites equipped with ultrasound and fast helical CT scanners. We participate in many active clinical research protocols and collaborate extensively with our clinical colleagues.
